23rd Annual Potato Day and Green Fair
Sunday 4th March 11 am – 3 pm

Border Union Showground, Kelso
The biggest potato garden event in the UK!
100 varieties of seed potato tubers including old favourites, heritage and the Sarpo family blight resistant varieties, plus a selection of Scottish grown organic varieties.
Tubers 20p each.
Indoor market and Green Fair – 25 stall holders includes local food producers like Peelham Farm butchery, cakes, drinks, plants from Woodside Nursery; arts and craft workers, and a full cafe service.
BOG members will be on hand to give free gardening and growing advice, supplemented by input from nationally renowned potato experts and enthusiasts Alan Romans and John Marshall, as well helping to entertain younger gardeners with art and craft activities and hosting our ever popular tasting table.
Adult entrance is £1.50 (under 16s free) which includes a guide to the varieties and articles on choice and cultivation.
Doors open from 11 am until 3pm and there is free parking.

BOG was formed in 1989 in the Galashiels area. From small beginnings BOG now has over 350 members from the Scottish Borders and north Northumberland – reputedly the largest organic gardening club in the UK whose charitable aims are “to advance the education of the general public in the principle of organic growing and gardening by promoting the use and development of organic gardening methods”. BOG is run entirely by volunteers.
